Live history
- Paired cars now stream battery, charging, tire and alert changes to your history as they happen, instead of once a day.
- Uses Tesla's official Fleet Telemetry. Needs the AskMyEV key paired and Tesla software 2024.26 or newer. Other cars keep the daily check, which never wakes the car.
- No location is ever streamed. Streaming stops when you cancel or remove access.
Optional remote start, with extra safeguards
- Remote start is a separate opt-in. It only appears in Account after car controls are on, and you turn it on with a checkbox acknowledgment.
- It lets the car be driven without the key for about 2 minutes, so every use needs the 6-digit code from your AskMyEV page.
- Limited to 3 uses per car per day, logged, and you get an email each time it's used.
- Turn it off anytime in Account. Turning off car controls turns it off too.
Simpler setup screens and example prompts
- Shorter, clearer wording on the connect screen, the setup steps and the Account page.
- New example prompts on the homepage, for Grok, ChatGPT and Claude.
- The homepage, pricing and setup now mention that paid plans keep a long-term history of your car's data.
- History housekeeping: retention now also clears old change alerts, and Account shows how long your history is kept.

Optional car controls and a setup wizard
- Optional car controls: climate, charging, locks, rear trunk and frunk. Off by default; turn them on in setup or in Account.
- Commands are signed inside AskMyEV and sent through Tesla's official Fleet API. You add AskMyEV's key to your car once in the Tesla app.
- A four-step setup wizard after you connect: welcome, location, car controls, and key pairing.
- AskMyEV can never drive or move the car.
